Klientr vs Zendesk

Klientr keeps each customer conversation in one queue, and a task, a booking, or a payment can stay on that thread. Zendesk is a help desk built around tickets. Email, chat, social, and voice can sit in the same suite, and you pay per agent.

A conversation, or a ticket

Klientr treats the customer's thread as the record. A new message on the same channel joins the open conversation instead of opening a second one. Teammates assign it, transfer it, or close it.

Zendesk treats the ticket as the record. That model is what large support teams expect, with queues, macros, triggers, and a status for every request. It is more machinery than a two-person shop usually wants on day one.

What you pay for

Klientr Starter is free: one project, two teammates, website chat, Telegram, and email, plus contacts, tasks, bookings, and payments. Team is $39 a month, or $32 a month billed yearly, and adds seats up to eight, more projects, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, routing, an SLA, the API, webhooks, and MCP.

Zendesk is priced per agent. A growing team pays for each person who needs a seat. Phone support and parts of the AI offering sit outside the cheapest seat. The marketplace is how many teams fill a gap.

What Klientr does not try to be

Klientr is not a call center, and it does not have Zendesk's catalog of apps. If you need voice, a mature ticket workflow, or a program built for hundreds of agents, Zendesk is the category built for that.

Public brand mentions in Klientr are a separate page from private support, on Team and above. They are not a social-listening suite.

Choose Klientr if

You want the reply, the booking, and the payment in one hosted workspace, and the team is still small enough that a per-agent desk is more product than you need.

Choose Zendesk if

You run a support organization on tickets, you need phone, or you already depend on the Zendesk marketplace.
