Klientr vs Tidio
Tidio is a website chat widget with a chatbot, built for a small shop that wants the visitor to get an answer on the page. Klientr puts website chat in the same queue as Telegram, email, and, on Team, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. The thread can hold a task, a booking, or a payment.
| Topic | Klientr | Tidio |
|---|---|---|
| Best fit | A team that answers several channels and then books or charges | A shop that wants a chat widget and a bot on the site |
| Channels | Website chat, Telegram, and email to start. More messaging apps on Team | Website chat first, with email and Messenger in the inbox |
| Price | Free for two people. Team is $39 a month for the workspace | A chat plan for the site, with the bot metered on its own |
| AI | An FAQ bot for an exact match, and Copilot on the open thread | Lyro, a chatbot aimed at answering from your content |
| After the reply | Tasks, appointments, and PayPal or Stripe | Chat flows on the widget, aimed at the visit |
| Team | Projects, roles, and a private team chat separate from customers | A shared inbox for the people answering the widget |
A widget, or the queue behind it
Tidio's strength is the first minute on the site. The widget, the bot, and the flows are the product. That is enough when one channel is the business and the conversation ends at the answer.
Klientr assumes the same person may write again on Telegram or email. Those messages join the contact. A second teammate can take the thread. The widget is the front door, not the whole building.
What the bot is allowed to do
The Klientr FAQ bot answers an exact match and can hand the thread to a person. You can limit that to after hours and ask for an email before the handoff. Copilot drafts a reply from the conversation you already have open. It does not invent a policy you did not write.
Tidio's Lyro is built to answer the visitor from the content you give it, on the site. If an autonomous chatbot on the widget is the requirement, that is Tidio's center of gravity.
When the shop outgrows the widget
Stay with Tidio when the site chat is the channel, and you do not need Telegram, a booking calendar, or a charge inside the thread.
Move to Klientr when the team is answering in more than one place, or when the chat should become an appointment.
Choose Klientr if
You need Telegram and email in the same inbox as the widget, and a booking or a payment on the thread.
Choose Tidio if
You want a site widget and a chatbot, and the rest of the channels can wait.
