Klientr vs Help Scout
Help Scout is a shared inbox that starts from email, with docs and a chat beacon beside it. Klientr starts from the conversation across website chat, Telegram, and email, and the same thread can hold a booking or a payment. Help Scout is the calmer choice when almost every customer writes email.
| Topic | Klientr | Help Scout |
|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Teams whose customers write on the site and on messaging apps | Teams whose customers write email, and who want docs next to the inbox |
| Channels | Website chat, Telegram, and email on the free plan. WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram on Team | Email at the center, with live chat. Messaging apps sit on paid plans |
| Price | Free for two people. Team is $39 a month for the workspace | Priced per user, with a docs site and an AI assistant in the product |
| After the reply | Tasks, appointments, and a PayPal or Stripe charge | Saved replies, collision detection, and a customer-facing docs site |
| AI | An FAQ bot, plus Copilot drafts inside a monthly allowance | An inbox assistant that drafts from the mailbox you already run |
| Mentions | Public brand mentions on their own page, on Team | Built for private support, not a public mention queue |
Email-first, or conversation-first
Help Scout feels like a shared mailbox that grew up. Assignment, internal notes, and saved replies are the daily tools, and the docs site answers the question before a person has to. That is a strong product when email is the channel.
Klientr feels like one queue for every place the customer already is. Telegram is on the free plan, next to website chat and email. A later WhatsApp or Instagram thread, on Team, sits on the same contact.
What the thread is allowed to hold
In Klientr the follow-up can stay in the workspace. Book the service, send the PayPal or Stripe charge, and open a task. The customer does not get a second tool. The teammate does not leave the conversation to do it.
Help Scout keeps the focus on a clear reply and on the docs. It is not a booking calendar. If the business is appointments, that work still needs another system.
When Help Scout is the better fit
Choose Help Scout when the team wants an email inbox, a polished docs site, and a chat beacon, and messaging apps are secondary.
Choose Klientr when Telegram or the website widget is the front door, and you want the booking in the same place as the reply.
Choose Klientr if
Customers already message you, and the next step is often a booking or a payment.
Choose Help Scout if
Email is the real channel, and you want docs and a shared mailbox more than a booking calendar.
